I can now definitely confirm that I will be on the bill at the turning on of this years Christmas Lights in Leicester, Ashby De-la Zouch. As I said in my previous post negations have been taking place and I am delighted to report that I will be performing a set at around 5-6pm on Friday the 25th November. (This Friday!). There is going to be an estimated 6,00 people there so it should be a great night if you guys came along. Be great to see you. See you there! Matt Tyler. posted 20/11/05 Starbucks Deal Sealed. Hi All, Hope you are all well. After initial trial periods went so well I can now confirm that I have been offered a regular acoustic spot in two coffee shops in The Birmingham High Street. Although only small venues I can see this as a great step forward. These sort of venues are perfect for intimate acoustic gigs and great for trying out new material. Regular spots are also great for getting my name around and my music known as well as picking up some more fans as I go along. I also particularly enjoy these events and will be looking to maybe expand on the idea in the near future. Hopefully more news to follow about that soon (fingers crossed). For now I will be at Starbucks Colmore Row at 11.00-11.45 and Starbucks at Martineau Place at 1.00-1.45 every other Wednesday. (Check the gig guide to confirm dates) Had a great gig last night at "The Cooper Club" In Pleck. Met some great people and hopefully new fans. A Big Hi to anyone from there checking the site out. You're welcome anytime. These last couple of days I have been in negotiations in a view to being involved in a very special event. It hasn't been 100% confirmed yet so I don't want to say too much but check back soon for more details. This week I am looking to get back in the studio with the Marklew Bro's with "The Outset" to finish off the bands album which I am collaborating with them on, should have some interesting results. Can't wait to share them with you. Keep checking back with more info on that too. Take care, and see you soon. Matt Tyler.
posted 31/10/05 Virgin. net Access Just been informed by Virgin. net that I can now distribute digitally all my future releases on their site. This includes the old releases also. Some more good news! Matt Tyler posted 27/10/05 I'm Back! New Distribution Deals Success on Radio Welcomed into Guild Hey, Just a quick message to say sorry that the website hasn't been updated the last couple of weeks. We've had some technical difficulties. A complete computer breakdown to be specific! Too much music on the old p.c.! Anyway, the problem has now been fixed and I have updated the website including news, gigs, shop and other sections. So enjoy! The major news this week is that we have finally been granted access to i tunes, and Napster for all our releases and future releases so add this to the distribution we have on Yahoo music and Real music among others we now have a good distribution around the world to reach everyone. Thanks to Orchard Records and Distribution for that. So far the tracks are selling well. (Particularly in Canada for some reason!) I will be posting some links shortly into the shop and album sections for details of how to download and stream tracks o if you still haven't got the old album make sure you check it out. Many people have been asking me how the albums are coming along. I am pleased to report both are coming along fine. We hope to have at least one out for early next year, maybe even two, but obviously it is important to get all the details just right which will take time, so bare with me. I can't wait to share the new stuff with you! The radio interview and acoustic session on "Mayer's Music" show went great and I was very pleased to finally meet Jean Platt a great fan and now a great friend having met her. It was a pleasure talking to her. Thanks to everyone who tuned in. It was a great show I'm sure you will agree and I have received great feedback from the new material. We gave away 5 c.d's in 30 seconds! Not bad. It was also great to see my old friend Julie Mayer again and we are going to go back to the show in the near future when the album is finished. On the 8th I was humbled to perform a private acoustic show at "The Populars" Residential Home for Special needs adults. It was great meeting all the guys and girls down there and seeing all the good work that is done by Nazli and all the other helpers. It was nice to see all the guys enjoying the garden furniture that we raised all the money for at the Last Kidzlikedanny show. It was a great afternoon and one that makes you realise what life is all about. On a side note I was also welcomed into The International Songwriters Guild last month and I am very pleased to be supported and involved in such a prestigious organisation. I look forward to working alongside them. Sorry for the long post but the more news the better eh? Great to be back on line with you, Matt Tyler.

Hi guys, would just like to say a special thank you to the few people that turned out to see me at the Hard Rock. It is much appreciated and was a great gig. Also keep the voting up for the Birmingham Music Awards. You guys are doing great but we could still do with a few more nominations because the voting goes on into November so they'll be plenty of competition. Hey everyone, as many of you know I have been working on an album with guitarist duo the Marklew brothers for a while now and this is something that is moving along quite nicely. However, the last few weeks I have been busy writing and have decided to release a solo album of self penned material of my own to run alongside the current project, as they are both completely different. This is a big step for me but one I am really excited about and a challenge I cant wait to get my teeth into. I will be producing, writing and performing in the project this time, using a top of the range studio I have recently purchased (after much scrimping and saving). I will be showcasing some of the new material at some of my gigs to see what kind of response it gets and slowly build up the best material for the new album. As you can appreciate this is new ground to me and a hell of a lot to cover on your own but hopefully with a few helping hands and a lot of hard work the album should be out next year some time. Thanks for all your support, can't wait to share the new stuff with you! Take Care, Matt Tyler.

A Fresh Start! Join The Fan Club! Hi, First of all thanks for visiting the new revamped Matt Tyler site. Yes that is right, and no I haven't completely lost my marbles and forgotten my name. I have changed my name to Matt Tyler in order to gain more exposure (just Matt wasn't really cutting it) but it also a sign of distinct change and a way to mark this milestone and start afresh so to speak. I am now pushing on to a ripe old age of 19 and so after many recent disappointments, distractions and obstructions I will be pushing and focusing all my efforts in a bid to make quality music and performances and also to succeed in my quest to get my music noticed and my name known on a bigger scale as a singer/songwriter. I am fully determined and focused on this daunting task, full of pit falls as many of you know and I would very much appreciate it if you could support me in any way you can by joining the New Matt Tyler Fan Club and join our mailing list. You can join by simply clicking Here and mailing us your name and address or go to the Contact Us section of the website located on the navigation bar at the top of the page. IT IS ABSOLUTELY FREE! and you will be joining our community, receiving regular news updates via e-mail, and receiving a free newsletter every month. Granted not exactly a massive package but it is something we are looking to expand on as the new website will be the main focal point from which we hope to create a something very special. I would very much appreciate your support. Any way that's enough of the mission statements and me babbling on. Enjoy the new site. All the best, Matt Tyler
