Matt Tyler.

Matt Tyler is a 22 year old singer/songwriter from Birmingham.

Influenced by the styles of Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles, David Gray, KT Tunstall, Damien Rice, REM, Bob Dylan, Travis and Oasis etc.

Matt performs a blend of Acoustic Rock/Folk. He plays Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Harmonica, Ukulele, Bouzouki and Piano.

Matt records, writes and produces on his own label Dannyboy Records and has a Worldwide Digital Distribution deal with Orchard Music of New York. His music is available on iTunes, eMusic, Napster and Amazon as well as his own website and eBay. Downloads are now in 5 figures worldwide. (42,000+).

He has received airplay up and down the country on Radio Stations such as BBC Radio WM, BBC Radio Leicester, BBC Radio Shropshire, BRMB, Beacon FM, Isles FM (Record of the week), Loch Drummond FM, Radio Wolf and Vale FM amongst others. He was a semi finalist in The UK Song Writing Contest 2005 and 2006.

Matt has gigged relentlessly around the country for over 6 years in Pubs, Clubs, Restaurants, Cafe's and Theatres, playing over 500 gigs. Playing venues such as The Birmingham Rep, The Crescent Theatre, The MAC, Birmingham Council House, The Custard Factory,The Birmingham Library Theatre, The Old Rep, The Cavern (Liverpool) and The Hard Rock Cafe (Birmingham).

In addition he has also played festivals such as Oxjam, Buskathon, Artsfest, Gigbeth, Harbourne Carnival, and Sutton Coldfield Carnival.

In 2006 he completed a successful mini tour of The USA. Playing dates in Nashville, Memphis, and Florida.

Currently he is performing around the West Midlands on The Dead Flowers By Midnight Tour 2008.

He has also played with many big names in the music industry including the likes of Trevor Burton (The Move) and Mick Feeney (Irish Folk Star).
